The City Centre location for the hotel means everything Birmingham has to offer is right on the doorstep, with the wider West Midlands region within easy reach.

If you're visiting the city for leisure, you'll find Bullring and Grand Central, The Mailbox and the various independent shopping hubs from the Great Western Arcade to Birmingham New Street, plenty to satisfy those in need of some retail therapy. The many attractions of the city are well within walking distance too, from the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery to Brindley Place, the Chinese Quarter and the Gay Village. We're also a short journey away from the city's premiere entertainment hubs, from sports venues such as Edgbaston and Villa Park to music and performance spaces like the Utilita Arena and upcoming destination The Warehouse - set to open in December 2025.

Birmingham is hosting some brilliant events this month, so if a summer holiday stay in the second city is on your radar then we highly recommend checking out these events across August:

  • Restaurants across the city are once again showcasing the best Brummie food spots and flavours as the Birmingham Restaurant Festival returns to the city, taking place all this month.

  • The Birmingham Hippodrome and Bullring are once again bringing the Birmingham Weekender back for the August Bank Holiday Weekend (23rd - 25th), bring a host of performances, installations and activities to the city centre.

  • Summer sport is here as the city welcomes the UK Athletics Championships (2nd - 3rd) at Alexander Stadium, along with the return of the Birmingham Phoenix and The Hundred at Edgbaston, and the start of the Premier League season for Aston Villa.
