Explore the City
The City Centre location for the hotel means everything Birmingham has to offer is right on the doorstep, with the wider West Midlands region within easy reach.
If you're visiting the city for leisure, you'll find Bullring and Grand Central, The Mailbox and the various independent shopping hubs from the Great Western Arcade to Birmingham New Street, plenty to satisfy those in need of some retail therapy. The many attractions of the city are well within walking distance too, from the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery to Brindley Place, the Chinese Quarter and the Gay Village. We're also a short journey away from the city's premiere entertainment hubs, from sports venues such as Edgbaston and Villa Park to music and performance spaces like the Utilita Arena and upcoming destination The Warehouse - set to open in December 2025.
There's plenty to enjoy across the city this month, and our team has picked some of our favourites activities we're recommending to those staying with us in July:
Food and drink will be flowing with a number of festivals taking place this month, including city favourites such as the Colmore Food Festival (4th - 5th) and the Birmingham Cocktail Weekend (10th - 13th).
Brummie icons Black Sabbath (5th) will be performing at Villa Park, with the venue being the place to be musically this month as they are followed up by Kendrick Lamar and SZA (10th).
Our best of the rest includes a varied bunch, from test cricket at Edgbaston as England take on India (2nd - 6th), the NEC playing host to Comic-Con Midlands (12th - 13th), and the 41st year of the Birmingham Jazz and Blues Festival (18th - 27th).
